Client hypervisors

What are client hypervisors?

Client hypervisors provide generic hardware to the desktop image, so a single disk image can be used on very different types of devices. This means that no matter where they are, users' applications, data, and personal settings can be applied on-demand once they load the shared master image, even if the user then goes offline.

Technical benefits of client hypervisors

Client hypervisors make it easy to manage and deploy desktop images, as the image will be hardware and device manufacturer independent. As the desktop image is running locally it can be used offline, so there's no need to factor in thin client remote display protocols or network connectivity.
